It’s always been one of the delights of the Internet that it facilitates the exchange of information – not just for a bunch of bandwagon hopping MBA grads wanting to crash and burn on venture capital, but also for the millions of weirdo and perverts the world over.
Perverts and the Internet go back a long way of course, and I’m not talking about people with a fetish for beige plastic who get a thrill from caressing their mouse (I don’t think such people really exist, but wouldn’t it be fun if they did!) No I’m talking about those perverts that pundits always use as an example of the effects of globalisation. You know, the idea goes that foot fetishists are in such small numbers worldwide that they don’t get to socialise much with their own kind, but with the miracle of the Internet they get to chat with likeminded pals across the globe (and discuss their toe nails, presumably). Well of course this is true, but it goes a lot further than feet. Indeed, the Internet has drawn some funny bastards out of the woodwork.
