Traditionally the end of a year brings with it an opportunity to look back over the cinematic achievements of the last twelve months, to cast a world weary eye towards the fine works committed to celluloid in the name of Art.

I'm just back from a weeks holiday in Portugal with three girlfriends and our daughters. Three babies under two, and one child under four! And the the fact is, I have never felt so exhausted in all my life.
