Four years after emigrating to the U.K. I went back to the U.S. to work for a summer in the centre of Boston. At 11 stone (154 pounds), I tried to explain to my work colleagues that in England, I was considered quite overweight!

I once decided to visit Switzerland, I set myself a budget of a hundred pounds for a ten day tour, I was young and didn't know any better. That didn't leave me with many options, I had to sleep out in the rain on one occasion and there was only one affordable way to cross the country and that was to rent a Swiss rail bicycle.

I am scared of pigeons and I hate them. Mind you, this has not always been the case. It’s only happened since I moved to England.

An irregular slot for your regular TV boy perhaps, but the chance to veg for almost a week in front of the best television Japan can offer was the unrefusable offer only previously mentioned in gangster films. There’s so much to pick from, this is my top three (a tough pick from hundreds) of the lot. Apologies for my lack of titles, but the local letterage confused me.
